"Entrepreneurship can be isolating. This event reminded me that not only am I not alone, but that there are a tribe of women pushing and propelling each other forward - who understand the depths and challenges of starting and sustaining a business. "

– Toni Scott Grant, Founder & CEO of Haus of Swag

"I was blown away by how your Annual Brunch Fundraiser event has grown in the past three years. The quality and amount of women who participate in your event year after year are A-Listers in their own respective fields. I am grateful for your continued support of me and my businesses"

Julia Carias-Linares, Businesswoman, Media Producer, Stager & Interior Designer

"NYC Celebrates Women is our future. When women gather, Transformation is inevitable. This year's step by step women of color entrepreneur luncheon was one of the most elegant events I’ve had the privilege of hosting and moderating. The speakers represented different industries and lent their expertise with engaging knowledge."

Step by Step Women of Color Entrepreneurs Conference

What time is it? It’s time for our signature annual event: the Step-By-Step Women of Color Entrepreneurs Conference. NYCCW  created this annual conference to celebrate International Women’s Day, a safe and educational space for women of color entrepreneurs to network, get inspired, level up, become wealth multipliers, get ideas, share business cards, laugh, and most of all, be in community to be heard, seen and acknowledged by their fellow women Entrepreneurs of color. To amplify the focus of our mission, the conference is now taking place during Mental Health Awareness Month.

To create a successful business ecosystem by and for women of color entrepreneurs, NYCCW is redefining mental health. As the world is demanding stronger leaders, it is imperative to create spaces for women to address the impact that trauma has on their minds body and spirits. This is a tough time for women of color across the business sector. Yet they are the fastest-growing population in the U.S.

We acknowledge that mental health affects everyone, but women of color are disproportionately impacted by childhood trauma, poverty, and oppression barriers to other economic opportunities, putting them at greater risk for mental health issues. In direct response to a call from women of color leaders nationwide who are disclosing more of their stories, NYCCW is creating culturally responsive approaches to self-care, mental health, and well-being models to be at the core of personal, business health, and sustainability.

Excited to announce our upcoming annual conference tailored for established Women of Color Entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners. Join us to expand your knowledge, share best practices, and network with other successful women. This event aims to propel entrepreneurial resources and self-care solutions for current and future generations. Let’s shift towards a more inclusive and sustainable approach, caring for ourselves, and each other, and embracing innovation to make potent businesses.

What to Expect

In this conference, we organize panels of successful women-of-color entrepreneurs to present and discuss how to build sustainable businesses, tips to increase visibility to attract investors, build healthy relationships with banks, and utilize self-care for long-lasting and successful business careers.

Women of Color Entrepreneurs are pivotal in driving our economy and fostering community growth. Each year, we honor their outstanding contributions. Also, our event features keynote speakers who recount their inspiring paths, business triumphs, and methods to transform obstacles into stepping stones for success. Moreover, with the guidance of health and wellness professionals, we facilitate candid discussions on mental well-being, equipping women with the tools to prioritize self-care.

Your success is our success! Let’s make it happen together for our future generation to end the generational wealth gap collectively and intentionally. Moving forward together in sisterhood will make women more resourceful and empowered. As we are all aware, the power is in the numbers, let’s add ourselves to the movement!
